Will You Risk A Reveal?

“To laugh is to risk appearing a fool. To weep is to risk appearing sentimental. To reach out to another is to risk involvement. To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self. To place your ideas and dreams before a crowd is to risk their loss. To love is to risk not being loved in return. To hope is to risk pain. To try is to risk failure. But risks must be taken, because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing..."

(William Arthur Wood)

What risks have you taken in 2018, gentle soul?

As we wind down the last days of this year, consider this...

Have you risked love? Have you risked acting despite fear? Have you risked truth? Have you risked walking towards? Have you risked walking away?

Have you risked a difficult ending? Have you risked letting go? Have you risked a new beginning? Have you risked reclaiming?

Have you risked waiting? Have you risked change? Have you risked commitment?

Have you risked knowing yourself? Have you risked unknowing what you thought you knew of yourself?

Have you risked heart break? Have you risked having your heart broken open?

Have you risked joy? Have you risked pleasure? Have you risked wanting? Have you risked comfort? Have you risked surrender?

Every day, we take small and big risks just to inhabit the beauty of the being we are. Just to reveal it. Honor them all. Honor the subtle, often silent, bravery of each. Honor you.

You are seen. You are witnessed. You are brave. And you are magnificent.

Six months from today, we'll open our first women's retreat gathering, coming together to risk both a deeper knowing and unknowing of ourselves.

We hope to welcome you into the circle at one of these 2019 events!

Let's risk whatever comes from love, more and more in 2019. I wish each of you a New Year full of love and joy and coming home to your own heart.
